Here are the detailed cooking instructions to make an Indian-style masala macaroni recipe.
1. Place the desired
quantity of macaroni shells in a non-stick pan. Then add some water, cooking
oil, and salt to it and start heating the pan. Cook it for around 7-8 minutes
on low-medium heat until the macaroni shell is cooked. However, make sure the
pasta doesn’t get overcooked or overly soft.
2. Now take out the cooked pasta and strain it to make sure there
is no water left behind. Then add some cold water to the pasta and strain it
with cold water as well. Now put the strained pasta in a bowl.
3. After that, take a non-stick pan and put some cooking oil in it.
Then turn on the flame and start heating. Now place some mustard seeds into the
heating oil and wait until the mustard seeds begin to sputter.
4. Then add some chopped green chillies and garlic to the heating
pan. You may also add curry leaves if you want.
5. Add the desired quantity of chopped onions to the pan and cook
for around 4-5 minutes.
6. Now add the chopped tomatoes and heat the mixture on a slow or
medium flame. This takes around 5 to 6 minutes.
7. You can now add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt to
the pan. Start stirring so that the mixture will not stick to the bottom of the
pan.
8. After that, you can add tomato ketchup to the pan to enhance its
flavour and taste.
9. Now add a small amount of water and let the mixture properly
boil along with the veggies.
10. If you want to add garam masala powder, you can add it to this
mixture. However, make sure to add only a little amount of garam masala.
11. Now to the mixture, add the boiled macaroni. Keep stirring the
mixture and cook it for a further few minutes on slow/medium heat.
